Privacy Policy
AllerGO ("we", "our", or "the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information is collected, how it is used, and your rights.
1. Information We Collect
| Data | Purpose | Stored |
|---|---|---|
| Allergy information you enter | To generate your allergy cards | On your device only |
| Approximate location (country-level) | To pre-select the emergency language for SOS screen | On your device only — never sent to our servers |
| Allergy card data sent to our server | To generate Apple Wallet pass files | Processed in-memory, not persisted |
| Purchase and subscription data | To verify your AllerGO Premium subscription | Managed by RevenueCat (see below) |
| Email address (optional) | To send allergy travel tips and app update newsletters, where you have explicitly opted in after subscribing | Stored by Mailchimp (see below). You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email. |
Except where noted above, we do not collect names, email addresses, or any personally identifiable information.
2. Location Data
The App requests permission to access your approximate location when you first launch it. This is used only to detect your current country so the SOS emergency screen displays phrases in the local language. Location data is processed entirely on your device and is never transmitted to our servers or any third party.
3. Third-Party Services
RevenueCat — We use RevenueCat to manage in-app subscriptions. RevenueCat may collect a pseudonymous device identifier and purchase history to verify your subscription status. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
Apple — In-app purchases are processed by Apple. See Apple's Privacy Policy.
Mailchimp — If you choose to subscribe to our newsletter, your email address is stored by Mailchimp (an Intuit company). We use Mailchimp's double opt-in process: you will receive a confirmation email before being added to our list. Mailchimp is a GDPR-compliant processor. See Intuit's Privacy Policy. Legal basis for processing: consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You may withdraw consent at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email we send, or by contacting us below.
Vercel — Our server infrastructure is hosted on Vercel. Vercel may log standard request metadata (IP address, timestamp) for security and reliability purposes. See Vercel's Privacy Policy.
4. Data Retention
All allergy card data you create is stored locally on your device using your device's secure storage. Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data. We do not retain any card data on our servers beyond the time required to generate a Wallet pass file (typically under 5 seconds).
5. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. Since we store your allergy data only on your device, you can delete it at any time by removing cards in the App or uninstalling the App. For any other data requests, contact us below.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
